Redefining Progress: AI Innovations & Mindful Reflections
Exploring the latest AI features, the beauty of beginning, and the art of silent ideation.
This week will officially make one month of my creative sabbatical (wild right?). To celebrate, I’m preparing for a weekend trip back to the States for the conference CultureCon in NYC! I’ve wanted to attend this creative conference since it started, so I’m excited to experience it this year.
For today’s [K.I.M.] in a Minute, I share my thoughts on creative updates in the AI (artificial intelligence) world, my recent journey of being a beginner again, and what I plan to incorporate in my ideation process moving forward.

How AI can enhance (not replace) my creativity
While I’ve been enjoying this space in my creative flow, I’ve also been thinking about what processes I can create using AI systems and tools to create more efficiently.
ChatGPT is one of them. What’s ChatGPT? In simple terms, ChatGPT is an AI chatbot that’s been trained on massive amounts of data on the internet, including books, websites, and more. This means you can ask it a question and it will not only provide information on the topic but also brainstorm ideas with you as if you’re having a full conversation.
I often use ChatGPT for creative outlines, business questions, etc., but I’m excited about their new voice and image capabilities. I don’t plan to upload any proprietary information (you shouldn’t either). Yet, it will be interesting to see how individuals and organizations use these updates over time.
From a creative perspective, it would be cool to upload an ad I see on Pinterest or Instagram, and then ask ChatGPT to analyze the tone of voice to improve my copywriting skills or ask it to create a process to design certain graphic elements to save time. The opportunities are endless!
I will share my opinion on Bard, Google’s AI tool, soon. Lately, I’ve preferred their data analysis capabilities more than ChatGPT so subscribe to be in the know.

Take a minute to ask yourself: “What can I add to my creative process to work smarter, not harder in order to get things done?”
Life [I]nsights
Reminder: It’s okay to be a beginner.
So if you follow me on Instagram (if you aren’t, you can here), then you know I’m taking Spanish lessons and starting to explore painting. Well, it’s been really hard. For someone who is used to learning things quickly, it’s been a great but very humbling experience. The feeling of frustration is real, but I’m constantly shifting my perspective to not let fear or doubt stop me from taking action – focusing on the excitement of learning something new and what I will gain from this experience.
Take a minute to ask yourself: “What can I gain from learning a new skill or trying something new, regardless of the outcome?”
[M]y POV
“You always find your way.”
That’s what my mom said to me during one of our morning FaceTime calls. When reflecting on my life, personally and professionally, that’s been a constant theme regardless of the season I was in. However, in this space where I’m exploring what it feels like to create intentionally, I’ve been thinking about how that looks in this “be still” season. I’m discovering that the best ideas or solutions don’t always have to come in the big lightbulb moments, but also in the quiet times when you feel that internal spark.
Take a minute to ask yourself: “What quiet moments can I create in my day-to-day to work through an issue or think of my next idea?”
Thank you for reading, and I hope you can take a few minutes today to reflect and possibly gain a new perspective. For fun, I’ll leave a few photos capturing my first month in Mexico City below.
Talk soon.
This is a gotdamn bar: "Reminder: It’s okay to be a beginner."
